About the Beach 

Just minutes from downtown Plattsburgh on the shores of Lake Champlain, the Plattsburgh City Beach is one of the largest freshwater beaches in America and boasts beautiful views of Lake Champlain and the majestic Green Mountains of Vermont. The park features access to over a mile and a quarter of sandy beach, a dedicated swimming area, dog park, picnic tables, outdoor grills, restrooms with showers and a nature trail.

The Plattsburgh CIty Beach is one of the longest freshwater beaches in America.

BEACH PASS RULES FOR CITY OF PLATTSBURGH BEACH

*City of Plattsburgh Residents can obtain a City Beach Pass at the City Recreation Center (52 US Oval).  Residents MUST provide a license showing City address.  Hours: Mon-Weds-Fri 9AM-NOON.  Tues & Thurs 6PM-8PM.

*Town of Plattsburgh Residents can obtain a City Beach Pass at the Town of Plattsburgh Recreation Department office at 151 Banker Road, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.

*City and Town Resident walk/bike-on's can obtain a walk-on pass at the Beach ticket booth with proper ID.  PO Box address will not be accepted.

Day Pass Fees are as follows for Non-City/Town Residents:

Monday - Friday 9AM-4:30PM:    

         $7 per vehicle (American) 

         $9 per vehicle (Canadian)

         $3 per motorcycle (American and Canadian taken at Par).

         $2 per walk-on (American & Canadian taken at par).

         $30 per Bus (American).

         $37 per Bus (Canadian).

Saturday/Sundays 9AM-4:30PM:

         $8 per vehicle (American).

         $10 per vehicle (Canadian).  

         $3 per motorcycle (American & Canadian taken at Par).

         $2 per walk-on (American & Canadian taken at par).

         $30 per Bus (American).

         $37 per Bus (Canadian).
