City of Plattsburgh brings back Fourth of July free concert and announces parade theme!

(PLATTSBURGH, NY - May 19th 2022) - The City of Plattsburgh is excited to announce the musical lineup for the Fourth of July Celebration! Annie in the Water will be headlining the concert, alongside opening acts, The Reflexions and Kevin Sabourin on Monday July 4th 2022 on the steps of City Hall in Downtown Plattsburgh.

Due to COVID, it has been two years since the City has hosted live music during the Fourth celebrations. “It’s exciting to bring back an annual tradition for the community and we are looking forward to an evening of great music and fireworks to celebrate the Fourth”, says Courtney Meisenheimer, the City’s Community Engagement Coordinator.

Kevin Sabourin will kick off at 5:00PM followed by The Reflexions at 6:00PM. Annie in the Water will join the show at 7:30PM. The evening will close out with a fireworks display immediately following the performance, at approximately 9:00PM which will be viewable from Downtown Plattsburgh.

There is still more in store for the Fourth Celebrations! The Fourth of July parade will be held in Downtown Plattsburgh starting at 1:00PM. The route will begin at the US Oval, travel down Bridge Street, making a right turn onto City Hall Place and heading over the bridge on Cumberland avenue to conclude at Wilcox Dock.

This year’s parade theme; a nod to bringing back the music portion of the event, is American Music! Whether it’s a Party in the USA, or a throwback to Elvis Presley, we are excited to see parade participants embrace this year’s theme!

Event goers can expect food trucks and vendors in Trinity Park during the afternoon of July 4th and are encouraged to also patronage the many downtown restaurants and businesses.
