Welcome to the City of Plattsburgh! We are nestled near the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York and on the shores of Lake Champlain. Our city offers its very own beach and picnic area, recreation trails, boat launches, great fishing spots, quaint restaurants and shops, and a brand new Waterfront Park located in downtown Plattsburgh.

The City of Plattsburgh has yearly celebrations such as Independence Day, Mayor's Cup Festival and Regatta, The Battle of Plattsburgh Commemoration and various small events throughout the year. No matter the season, everyone can find something enjoyable to do indoors and out!

When the Snow Ban Emergency lights are flashing, please find an alternative parking location for your vehicle or your vehicle WILL be towed at your expense.

Please remember to check the cellar for open windows and make sure the heat is on to prevent water pipes from freezing.
