Starting Thursday 5/7/26 into the Week of May 11, 2026.

*(PMLD Crews will inform residents in the morning prior to start of work to let them know power will be turned off and for approximately how long at the affected address.)

Plattsburgh Municipal Lighting Department will require intermittent power interruptions for backyard tree trimming as part of its ongoing efforts to maintain power lines and equipment.

The rotating outages will begin at 8:00 A.M. and may last up to 6 hours. These power interruptions will happen at each pole span and deenergizing will allow crews to safely perform tree maintenance and clear vegetation around backyard power lines to help maintain system reliability. After spans have been completed the power to those houses will be restored and move on to deenergizing the next span.

Please be sure that all computer files have been saved and that computers or any other equipment that may be sensitive to this outage have been shut off. Please prepare accordingly.
