City seeking Letters of Interest for next round of RestoreNY Program

The City of Plattsburgh is seeking Letters of Interest (LOIs) from local property and land owners for Round 9 of Empire State Development’s RestoreNY program. Through the RestoreNY program, which was announced in September 2024, $50 million dollars are available to support local efforts, and help to reduce insurmountable costs for  transforming blighted, underutilized structures into vibrant residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.

City of Plattsburgh Receives Federal Award for Bulletproof Vest Partnership

The City of Plattsburgh is pleased to announce that it has been awarded funding through the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Patrick Leahy Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BVP) program, administered by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). This award will provide crucial financial support for the purchase of National Institute of Justice (NIJ) compliant bulletproof vests for the city’s law enforcement officers.

Parks Come Alive! Event at Fox Hill Park to Feature Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New Playground Equipment

The Parks Come Alive Event series will host its final event of the season on Thursday, September 12th, from 4:30-7:30 PM at Fox Hill Park, with family friendly activities, local food, live music, and more. As a special feature of this event, the City of Plattsburgh will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at 6:00 PM to celebrate the completion of new playground equipment and construction upgrades at the park. NOTICE OF INTENT TO REQUEST RELEASE OF FUNDS (NOIRROF)

On or about August 12, 2024 the City of Plattsburgh will submit a request to the Office of Community Renewal for the release of CDBG funds under Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, to undertake a project known as the City of Plattsburgh Drinking Water System Upgrades Project. The proposed project involves the replacement of up to 5,000 linear feet of existing water main along Rand Hill Road and NYS Route 374.
