Parks Come Alive! rescheduled event dates

(PLATTSBURGH- Friday August 25th 2023) - The City of Plattsburgh has seen record amounts of rain this season which has caused multiple Parks Come Alive! Events to be canceled and rescheduled. The City is pleased to share that both Parks Come Alive! events that were canceled in July and August have been rescheduled and still promise to bring food, music and fun to our local city parks.

Join us on Thursday August 31st in South Acres Park from 4:30-7:30PM for live music from Austin and the In-Laws, food from the Dogfather, Tammy’s Lunch Box and Mr Dinga ling and a beer garden hosted by Old Soul Design Shop (21+). Community organizations will be on site with games and activities for kids and lots of giveaways!

On Thursday September 14th, Parks Come Alive! will hold its final event in 2023 at Melissa Penfield Park from 4:30-7:30PM. Live music will be hosted by local musician Josh West, beer garden provided by Oval Craft Brewing (21+) and food will be provided by Tammy’s Lunch Box, The Dog Father, Mr Ding a Ling and Chick-Fil-A! You don't want to miss this final celebration of the end of summer in our local parks!

Thanks to a generous donation from Fidelis Care, a limited number of $5 food vouchers will be provided at each event to be redeemed at the food trucks. Make sure to stop by Chick-Fil-A’s table in September for a free sandwich (while supplies last)!

All event details can be found by visiting www.discoverplattsburgh.com/events. This event wouldn’t be possible without Fidelis Care and is brought to you by Schluter Systems, Community Bank, Northern Insuring, Dannemora Federal Credit Union, Lakeshore Pediatric Dentistry, CVPH, and Lake Champlain Pools, Spas and Stoves.
